Residential Programs Placement Statistics
The Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM) prepares students for management positions in various health-related settings that include hospitals, health systems, consulting, insurance, pharmaceutical firms, government agencies, and public health organizations.
The HPM residential master’s curriculum allows students to focus on the following areas: financial management, strategic planning, outcomes research, managed care, quality management and policy analysis.
The Department is currently ranked third among all accredited programs in health services administration and management according to the most recent US News & World Report rankings. Two of the Department’s professional Master’s degrees – the MHA (Masters in Healthcare Administration) and MSPH (Master of Science in Public Health) are included in the following placement data. There is some overlap in the various organizations where the graduates of these two degrees secure employment.
The graduation rate for the residential 2022 cohort (MHA & MSPH) is 96%. The graduation rate for the 2023 residential MHA cohort is 95%. In 2022, the full-time job placement rate three months after graduation was 100% for both the MHA graduates and the MSPH graduates. In 2023, the full-time job placement rate three months after graduation is 86% for both the MHA graduates and the MSPH graduates..
