Hailey James is a fourth year PhD student in Health Policy and Management at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Duke Department of Population Health Sciences Pre-Doctoral Fellow. Her interests lie at the intersection of health policy and health system performance. She is also interested in how that intersection affects the experience of patients and their care partners.
Prior to starting her PhD program, Hailey spent six years working in hospital operations including as a hospital administrator in an academic medical center in Baltimore when Maryland implemented the transformative global budget revenue payment policy. This experience has given her a particular interest in considering unintended consequences of policy reforms and expanding our understanding of the impact of policy changes. |
