Health behavior photo contest 2018

Show us your work, your student experience, your research and the issues you care about.

The Department of Health Behavior’s first-ever photo contest opens May 1 and closes August 1, 2018. Prizes will be awarded and we expect to display some of the photos during orientation in August.

Photographs to Submit

Photographs should illustrate ore represent a public health issue or an experience linked to the Department of Health Behavior. We love photographs of students, faculty or alumni in action. Selfies and groupies are typically less compelling, but that doesn’t have to be the case.

Time Frame

Photographs must have been taken in calendar years 2017 or 2018. The contest opens on May 1, 2018 and the deadline for submitting entries is August 1, 2018. Winning entries will be displayed during new student orientation in August 2018.

A judging committee will review all photographs and designate their top choices. Judges will represent these groups: health behavior faculty members, students, alumni and staff and a staff member from the Gillings Office of Communications.
