Rosenau Society
The Rosenau Society is a fellowship of passionate supporters of the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health who are dedicated to improving public health locally and globally. Donations from Rosenau Society members ensure the best and brightest minds have the opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned faculty and scientists to push public health research, innovation and implementation boundaries.
Dr. Milton J. Rosenau served as director of the UNC Division of Public Health from 1936–1940 and then as the first dean of the UNC School of Public Health from 1940 until his death in 1946. Named in his honor, the Rosenau Society recognizes generous donors who make an annual commitment to the Gillings School or its departments to meet our most critical needs. Rosenau Society gifts allow us to accomplish many things:
- Attract and support the best students from around the world.
- Assist students in pursuing national leadership opportunities.
- Recruit and retain an exemplary public health faculty.
- Invest in new programs and research striving to improve public health.
Annual financial contributions from our donors renew this excellence. Gifts to the School or its departments support our most critical needs and are vital to our success. The Rosenau Society recognizes and honors the generosity of those who make a significant investment in the Gillings School of Global Public Health with a gift of $1,000 or more during each fiscal year (July 1–June 30).
