The Carolina Population Center is pleased to announce the first annual Symposium on Biosocial Approaches to Population Health across the Life Course.

The symposium will stimulate novel opportunities for biosocial health research by developing a scientific forum that provides emerging scholars a chance to present research, while facilitating the integration of social and biological approaches for addressing the complex health concerns of today. The agenda includes a paper session, a poster session, and a keynote address.

The keynote speaker will be Bridget Goosby, PhD, professor of sociology at the University of Texas at Austin. Goosby will present “It Takes a Village: What Interdisciplinarity and Biosocial Methods Tell us about Health Disparities.”

Please register by May 8.
