Structures of Inequality: Moving Forward on the Rural-Urban Divide and Access to Health Care

February 11, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This lecture qualifies for 1 hour of credit toward the annual Gillings School faculty and staff inclusive excellence training requirement.

In the fall, Honors Carolina kicked off an ongoing examination of systems of inequality with a series of programs on structural racism. This semester, they will turn attention to related questions of bias and discrimination. Topics will range from equity in the media to the rural-urban divide, college access and mental health.

All members of the UNC community are invited to join them for six topical discussions with faculty and professional experts, each paired with an hour of action. Register online. Keep an eye out as more lectures are added this semester!

Feb. 11 @ 4 p.m.: “Moving Forward on Rural-Urban Divide and Access to Health Care” by Meredith Bazemore, Director for Rural Recruitment and Initiative

This series is sponsored by Honors Carolina and the Phi Beta Kappa Society and is open to everyone
