Stress and Diet among Latinos Dissertation Presentation

April 29, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Deshira Wallace, a doctoral candidate in the health behavior department at the UNC’s Gilling School of Global Public Health, will present her research on the effects of multiple forms of stress on dietary behaviors among Latinos in the United States.

More broadly, Wallace has conducted research in the Dominican Republic aimed at exploring how individuals in rural areas self-manage their Type 2 diabetes. In the summer of 2017, she continued this line of research by investigating the mental health burden of living with Type 2 diabetes through qualitative inquiry.

Please contact Deshira Wallace with any questions.
