Lecture: Secretary of N.C. Health and Human Services

Mandy Cohen, MD, MPH, director of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, will give a lecture. DHHS is a cabinet-level agency with approximately 16,000 employees and an annual budget of $20 billion. Among Cohen’s top priorities are combating the opioid crisis, building a strong, efficient Medicaid program and improving early childhood education.
