Health workforce seminar w/ Dr. Damon Tweedy

Save the date for an upcoming health workforce seminar. Damon Tweedy, MD will present “Reflections on Race and Medicine.” Over the past few months, Tweedy has been featured on NPR’s Fresh Air, CBS This Morning, and PBS Newshour. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller Black Man in a White Coat, described in Booklist (starred review) as a: “Smart, thought-provoking, frontline look at race and medicine.” For the last several years, Tweedy has written and lectured on the intersection of race and medicine, publishing articles in prestigious newspapers as well as medical journals. Tweedy currently is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center and a staff psychiatrist at the Durham VA Medical Center.
