Bruce Gellin, PhD, MD, MPH, UNC-Chapel Hill alumnus, will present a seminar titled, “Influenza (seasonal and pandemic) Vaccines and Vaccination” followed by a Q&A session. Dr. Gellin is the principle technical, strategic and policy advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Health on all aspects of the National Vaccine Program (NVPO) and is the Designated Federal Official for the Presidential Advisory Council on antibiotic-resistant bacteria. He previously held positions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and was the Executive Director of the National Network for Immunization Information, an organization he founded as a resource of up-to-date, authoritative vaccine information.
