Environmental Chemicals and Cancer Seminar
Event Navigation
Dr. Gay Devi’s laboratory is interested in elucidating molecular mechanisms of programmed cell death and how this process regulates tumor proliferation and immune response. Dr. Devi serves as the Program Director of the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Consortium at the Duke Cancer Institute and as the Associate Director of Research Education in the Department of Surgery at Duke University School of Medicine. Current funded research projects in the lab focus on identifying signaling mechanisms underlying metastatic dissemination using novel patient-derived models of cancer, drug discovery and development and understanding environmental exposome in aggressive cancer progression. Dr. Devi is also leading a multi-institutional collaborative effort in developing education programs that foster translational science and address cancer health disparity.
This seminar is offered as part of the UNC Center for Environmental Health and Susceptibility (CEHS) and the UNC School of Medicine Genetics and Molecular Biology
