Announcing a unique opportunity for North and South Carolina birthing facilities to receive free technical assistance, coaching and resources to achieve recognition via the prestigious Baby-Friendly designation or a similar state health department recognition program. This opportunity is funded by The Duke Endowment and all resources and services are FREE to the participating hospitals. 

Through the ENRICH Carolinas project, the Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute (CGBI) partners with participating birthing facilities and Population Health Improvement Partners to provide direct technical assistance and quality improvement methodology to ensure optimal maternity-care practices, supports the birthing facilities as they pursue official state recognition and/or Baby-Friendly designation, and works with them to ensure the sustainability of lactation services in their respective communities. 

The Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute (CGBI) is in its third recruitment phase for the ENRICH Carolinas project aimed at increasing the number of births in the Carolinas occurring in birthing facilities working to improve maternity care practices through Baby-Friendly designation or a similar state recognition program.
