Culture: A missing piece in global health

Dr. Judi Aubel has worked for years in community development programs in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific. Her long-standing concern has been the gap between cultural context, roles, and values of communities and development programs. She is the co-founder and executive director of Grandmother Project–Change through Culture. Dr. Aubel’s work has focused on both research and development of culturally grounded and community-driven programs on health, education and child protection.
