On Monday, March 8, Dr. Adam Hoffman joins FPG’s Carolina Consortium on Human Development to present “Considering Development in Indian Country: A Look with the Cherokee Indians” as part of their Spring 2021 series on Culture & Developmental Science: Considering Context, Culture, and Intersectional Approaches! Join them Monday afternoons from 2:00 – 3:15 p.m. (EST) via zoom.
Dr. Adam Hoffman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Western Carolina University. Dr. Hoffman investigates how ethnic/racial and gender identities develop and change as youth age through adolescence and how these identities can be leveraged to enhance academic motivation and achievement and psychosocial well-being. Dr. Hoffman earned his bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University and a master’s and PhD in developmental psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill. He then completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Michigan and North Carolina State University.
