This Biostatistics Seminar features Susan A. Murphy, PhD, Professor at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Professor of Statistics and of Computer Science, Harvard University. Dr. Murphy is a UNC alumna with an extensive previous research experience as Professor in both Statistics, Social Research and Psychiatry, and a 2013 recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship. Her current research at Harvard focuses on analytic methods to design and evaluate medical treatments that adapt to individuals, including some that use mobile devices to deliver tailored interventions for drug addicts, smokers, and heart disease patients, among others.
