Center for Faculty Excellence: Mentoring Summit

The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) Mentoring Summit is a pan-University event, open to all schools and departments, designed to promote equitable, effective mentoring practices for populations across UNC.
Melissa McDaniels, PhD, will deliver the keynote address: “Catalyzing Ecosystems of Inclusive Excellence: Leveraging the Science of Mentorship, National Policies, and Local Expertise.”
McDaniels is senior advisor to the dean for research mentoring in the Graduate School at Michigan State University. She also co-directs the Master Facilitator Initiative with the National Research Mentoring Network, and is an investigator with the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research.
All campus senior leadership, department chairs and unit directors, faculty development leaders and faculty of all ranks are invited to attend all or part of the event.
