Dr. Lesneski leads team assesment of Pender County Health Dept.

Dr. Cheryll Lesneski and a team of PHLP students recently completed an organizational assessment of the Pender County Health Department. The assessment included interviewing, surveying, data collection and analyzing, as well as presentations to the Board of Commissioners and Board of Health.
Dr. Lesneski was assisted by Marti Macchi, Patty Kempton and Laura Tison over the months-long process.
Pender County Manager Rick Benton complimented the team and the process. “We are grateful to have been able to benefit from the Public Health Leadership Program,” he wrote in a letter to PHLP Director Dr. Anna Schenck, adding that he hoped other public health departments around the State would make use of the program’s services.
