To Print In-House At Your Location:

Patient Booklet – use file accessible via this website, choose high-quality color or greyscale, double-sided. Use staples along left edges.

Flip Chart – use file accessible here, choose high-quality, double-sided. This file has a “bleed” – which means the color goes all the way to the edge of the paper. Most in-house printers are not able to do this. When printing in-house, therefore, please only print a test sample of pages (starting at p. 5-6 is advised), so you can get your printer settings right. You may need to click “fit” or “shrink to fit” in order to get the bottom color edge with the topic in the printed page.

Printing In-House for the Flip Charts may be a cheaper option than printing professionally. You can laminate or use plastic cover sheets for the pages and place them in a 3-ring binder to use during education sessions.

To Print Professionally:

Patient Booklet – set up to be printed in color in a double sided booklet with a center saddle-stitch bind. There is no bleed in this document. You may go directly to our online supplier’s website for an immediate quote including shipping to your zip code (choose booklets – 28-page). Costs decline considerably when ordering in bulk. Feel free to use any printer you choose. After doing research, we found the aforementioned organization to be the most affordable and good quality. They also offer first-time order discounts, as well as a non-profit discount. If you need assistance, you can contact Mary Courteau at the online printer.

Flip Chart – set up to be printed double sided in a ringed flip-chart that stands alone on a desktop. You may choose to work with a local printer to get a product that is durable and will stand easily on a desktop. It may take some trial and error, unless they are versed in flipchart printing. The file size in the printable download is smaller than the original Press Quality file, due to uploading limitations. We will happily provide your printer a larger file (18MB) via their online uploading site, or we can send you a CD of the file.

Below are quotes for the local printer we used for the flip charts. If you have seen our prototype, and would like to have something exactly like that, please contact Lynn Stevenson at Universal Printing in Durham, NC. They are happy to ship anywhere and already have the Press Quality files. Please note that Spanish and English flip charts must be ordered separately since they are different files (you cannot combine orders). The below numbers are rounded estimates and are subject to change. Please contact Lynn for your own estimate. You can see the price point is best at 50 or greater units.
