Pilot Projects Program 2014-2015
The UNC-CH Center on Environmental Health and Susceptibility (CEHS) announces the availability of annual funding for research-based pilot projects. The Center will award up to four grants of $25,000 each. The Pilot Projects Program (PPP) stimulates innovative and collaborative research at the UNC-CH CEHS by providing short-term funding to collect preliminary data or demonstrate the feasibility of an idea. Ultimately, the Program fosters grant proposals to leverage resources for this research. The Center administration is inviting applications by Center Members, Affiliates and Friends and encourages posting the announcement in your department or to forward the application announcement to any potential Pilot Project applicants. Junior faculty are strongly encouraged to apply.
One-page initial applications are due Wednesday January 22, 2014.
If selected to advance to second round, five-page full proposals will be due February 20, 2014.
The PPP is aimed at the following types of investigators:
- new investigators developing a research program in an area of environmental health relevant to the Center,
- established investigators pursuing an innovative research line involving new collaborations,
- established investigators in other research areas who have an interest in applying their expertise to Center-related issues, and
- investigators who use CEHS Facility Cores.
Applicants are directed to use the following documents for information and completion of the application process:
