Researchers awarded Helmsley Charitable Trust grant to implement portable ultrasound in Zambia
UNC researchers at the School of Medicine and Gillings School of Global Public Health, led by Dr. Margaret Kasaro, have received a nearly $3 million award from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust to improve access to portable ultrasounds in routine antenatal care in Zambia.
Penny Gordon-Larsen named vice chancellor for research
July 5, 2023 Following a national search, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has selected Dr. Penny Gordon-Larsen to serve as vice chancellor of research. She has served as interim vice chancellor for research since March of last year.
