The year 2002 was marked by many accomplishments: Professor Pranab Sen won the ASA Noether Award; Robert Lyles won the Biostatistics Distinguished Alumni Award; department registrar Betty Owens retired; Biostatistics students won an impressing number of awards; and numerous grants were awarded to the department.
