Anna Maria Siega-Riz was elected president-elect of the Society for Pediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology (SPER) at their annual meeting in June. She will serve as president in 2006-2007 and will preside at the annual meeting in Boston in June. Donald Gillmor Willhoit, a professor emeritus with the Gillings School who combined his deep faith with a love of scientific reasoning, died on March 7. He was 90 years old.
