Steven Gunn serves as a training specialist with the NC Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center. He has over a decade of experience in the education and healthcare fields.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Gunn worked as a training specialist for another health-related grant and was a public school educator in several school systems across North Carolina.
Staff/Administrative Duties
- Develop and manage trainings and courses for health professionals and childcare providers. Training topics include: prevention and control of infectious diseases, medication administration, emergency response to food and allergic reactions, emergency preparedness, handling and disposal of hazardous materials, transportation safety, as well as a variety of infant safety issues
- Create workshops, provide trainings, lead and moderate sessions at local, regional, and statewide conferences
- Partner and client communication via newsletters and direct inquires
