Sterling Frierson manages the major gifts team and the development pipeline strategy for the Advancement staff. He also serves as the development liaison to several departments within UNC Gillings and travels regularly to engage alumni and friends on behalf of the Gillings School. His fundraising experience includes positions at Vanderbilt University and North Carolina State University.
Frierson earned a degree in health sciences from Furman University and a graduate degree in education administration from Tennessee State University. He originally is from South Carolina and currently resides in Durham with his wife, Johnna, and their two young children.
