About

My research broadly is centered around the intersection of HIV, mental health, and implementation science. At UNC, I work on a project that is using a mixed methods approach to understand the association between pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) stigma, mental health, and PrEP acceptability to evaluate strategies to promote engagement with a smartphone app for PrEP uptake among men who have sex with men in Guatemala City. My dissertation research is an implementation science project focused on understanding the association between clinic characteristics and scale up and sustainability of a systems navigation and psychosocial counseling intervention for HIV-positive people who inject drugs in Vietnam.
