About

Muhammad's research interests are primarily in injury and violence prevention, specifically in firearm, self-harm/suicide, and intimate partner violence-related work. He has additional experience and interests in mental health and conflict-affected settings. As a doctoral student, is a graduate research assistant on eProtect, a study assessing the effects of electronic filing of domestic violence protective orders (DVPOs); he is also the NC Violent Death Reporting System Program Coordinator supporting the NC Division of Public Health.
