As the Practice Associate, Meghan Lassiter, MS, works with the Associate Dean for Practice; the Director of the North Carolina Institute for Public Health (NCIPH); other faculty, staff and students across the School; and high-level external partners in North Carolina and around the country to help develop, refine and deliver on the practice strategy, lead several key activities, track impact, communicate progress and ensure that the Gillings School is improving the public’s health.
The Gillings School defines public health practice as the application of our public health training and expertise to inform, assess, develop, implement, evaluate, and/or lead policies, programs and interventions.
