María Fernanda Parra-Murillo is a Colombian social scientist researcher with a Master's in Public Policy and a Master's in Public Health and a background in psychology. Her research focuses on the intersection of public health and policy, with a particular interest in food systems and nutrition. With over 6 years of experience, she has been a key player in researching for evidence-based policies in Colombia, such as front-of-package labeling and sugary drink taxes. As part of her work in recent years, María has supported civil society organizations, foundations, and government institutions in the formulation, monitoring, and evaluation of various public policies in Colombia.
