Marcia Margotta is a versatile, knowledgeable and organized financial manager and research administrator with over fifteen years of experience. She specializes in compliance and management of federal and state funding mechanisms as well as foundation funding sources. Ms Margotta blends academic training in public administration with hands-on experience in budget and financial management with a track record of delivering on tasks accurately, efficiently and quickly. Personally, Marcia finds solace in being a potter and enjoys the great outdoors.

Staff/Administrative Duties
  • Administers and manages all stages of grants, contracts and service agreements from proposal development to closeout or final billing
  • Assists and guides faculty on proposal development and contract negotiation, including budget development and budget considerations
  • Ensures project proposal compliance with university policies, IRB, Uniform Guidance as well as federal and state policies
  • Serves as the Department of Health Behavior's primary effort certifier for effort certification compliance and reporting
  • Manages and oversees the department's finances and budget and provides accurate, timely reports
  • Collaborates and coordinates with central university offices for grant administration and financial management
  • Supervises and manages the department's business office staff
