Kerstin Sörensen, PhD, is the MPH@UNC Adjunct Faculty Coordinator. In this role, she facilitates the recruitment, hiring, and retention of adjunct faculty to teach with MPH@UNC program. She provides oversight and support to adjunct faculty to ensure high quality learning experience for MPH@UNC students. She directs and delivers an adjunct faculty orientation program and instructor meetings. She also manages relationships with individual instructors, lead faculty, and teaching teams, communicating, and escalating issues as needed.

Prior to joining UNC, Kerstin served as the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs and Global Leadership Scholars at New York University in Washington, DC. Previously, she worked as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Elon University where she taught for almost a decade.

Kerstin received a M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the UNC Chapel Hill.
