Julie M Kafka, PhD, MPH conducts applied violence prevention research, with particular focus on intimate partner violence, firearm violence, and suicide. She uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to explore and evaluate policy and systems-level solutions to prevent violence before it starts, to support survivors of violence, and to intervene with perpetrators and/or high-risk populations.
