Johnston King serves as director of admissions at UNC Gillings. With over fifteen years of experience in higher education admissions, he believes that graduate school can enhance a student’s personal growth, professional development and ability to lead social change. Johnston has worked closely with the Office of Inclusive Excellence to develop equity advocacy in admissions training for admissions committee members. In addition, he leads the application review process for both the residential and online MPH programs and serves as the chair for the ASPPH SOPHAS Recruitment Advisory Council for the 2021 - 2022 academic year.
