Dr. Ethan Alt is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and the Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center.

Dr. Alt's methodological research interests involve the development of novel Bayesian methods for clinical trials. In particular, he is interested in informative prior elicitation on the basis of historical data and/or expert opinion.

As a former Investigator and Instructor of Medicine, Dr. Alt was responsible for statistical consulting and the development of novel statistical methodologies at the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Alt is a native of Michigan City, Indiana. He was inducted into the Delta Omega Honor Society in 2021.
