About

After graduating from UNC-CH School of Nursing in 2000, Eric Wolak began his professional career at the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at UNC Hospitals.

In 2006, Mr. Wolak became a Clinical Nurse Education Specialist for critical care at UNC Hospitals.

In 2007, he completed his MSN from UNC-Greensboro and shortly thereafter moved to Seattle, WA to be a nurse manager of both a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department at Swedish Medical Center. While Seattle, Mr. Wolak continued his education and received a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Washington.

In 2012, Mr. Wolak had the opportunity to move back to NC and began his tenure as Nursing Director for Medicine at UNC Hospitals. Since returning in 2012, his role at UNC Hospitals has expanded to include both Medicine and Inpatient Oncology. He is also currently a Doctorate in Nursing Practice for Health Systems graduate student at the UNC School of Nursing and plans to graduate in May 2019.
