Caroline is the Lead Projects Manager for the UNC Cardiovascular Epidemiology Program. She oversees management of the Program’s large portfolio of research project grants, contracts, and training programs, including pre- and post-award activities, research compliance and communication with research partners. She also assists program faculty, fellows and students with the development of new research programs.
Caroline is a graduate of the UNC Gillings School of Public Health. She received her PhD in Epidemiology in 2007 and served as a Program Director at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences for over eight years before returning to academia. She is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
- Manage the Cardiovascular Epidemiology (CV Epi) Program’s research and training awards
- Develop and implement tools and procedures that support Program needs
- Coordinate communication between the Program and partners within and outside UNC
- Ensure compliance with University, State and Federal research policies
- Facilitate the development and submission of new research grants and contracts
- Train and supervise other administrative/research staff and students
