About

My research interests lie in health promotion and chronic disease prevention through the identification of external influences on dietary patterns and practices. Specifically, I am interested in 1) The barriers to a healthy diet; 2) The impact of location, place, and access to different food retailers on dietary behaviors; and 3) If small environmental changes in food settings (i.e., nudges) can effectively alter dietary choices. Through my research I hope to understand the impact of environmental factors on dietary patterns and practices and to inform policy in order to create healthy food environments.
