Town hall meeting on the future of public health education
A town hall meeting on “Framing the Future: The Second 100 Years of Education for Public Health” will be held at the Gillings School of Global Public Health on Monday, December 3, 2012. Donna J. Petersen, ScD, MHS, will conduct the meeting. She is the dean of the University of South Florida College of Public Health, and chair of the ASPH Education Committee. Participants in the meeting will be able share their thoughts on the essential elements of a newly designed public health education system in the 21st century. “This is an opportunity to help influence the training that will be offered to the public health workforce of the future,” says Anna Schenck, PhD, MSPH, associate dean for Practice and director of the Public Health Leadership Program and the North Carolina Institute for Public Health.
