Ashley Sigmon, a senior in the Department of Health Policy and Management, spent last summer in Chicago, IL, interning for the Make A Wish Foundation of Illinois. Sigmon worked as a Wish Granting Manager intern where she conducted administrative tasks including inputting information in Rasier’s Edge database and creating itineraries for wish families to research how to make a wish come true. Sigmon learned more than she bargained for and was exposed to a non-profit organization environment in which she could see herself continuing. “My experience at Make A Wish taught me so much about myself, what types of work environments I enjoy and what type of city I would like to live in.”

Yasmeen Zamimiri is a junior BSPH student in the department of Health Policy and Management. She works in the SPH Office of Student Affairs as a Student Assistant .
