Orientation will help you get to know more about the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and is guaranteed to be a great introduction to the 2014-2015 school year.  Orientation provides the perfect opportunity for new and returning students to learn about the expectations and visions for the upcoming year.

Let us welcome you to Chapel Hill for a visit!  We offer a one-day open house in the fall for prospective students, a one day informational program in spring for admitted students, and we participate in several SOPHAS (Schools of Public Health Application System) virtual fairs in summer and fall.

Experience Gillings: A  Program for Admitted Graduate Students

Friday, March 20, 2015 

8:00am -  3:00pm

Each spring, the Gillings School of Global Public Health hosts a day-long program for newly admitted applicants. Admitted graduate students have the opportunity to connect with current students, faculty, and staff to discuss student life at UNC, research, financial aid, and life in Chapel Hill, in order to learn why UNC is a great match for a public health education. Applicants who chose to attend Experience Gillings must make their own arrangements for transportation and lodging.  Breakfast will be provided as well as light refreshments at the student Meet and Greet.

Registration is required for this event.

Undergraduate Program Open House Fall 2014

As part of UNC’s Family Weekend, the School’s Office of Student Affairs welcomes undergraduate students and their families to meet with faculty, staff and students from our four undergraduate majors: Biostatistics, Environmental Health Science, Health Policy and Management and Nutrition. Join us for tours of the classrooms and labs, informal Q&A sessions and refreshments. Registration is not required.

Driving directions to the School, along with appropriate contact information can be found on this page. Please note, we do not have on-site parking at the School. Please review parking options before you arrive to campus. We are located on 135 Dauer Drive on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus.

Dogwood Parking Deck: Manning Drive, diagonally across from UNC Health Care . (Travel up Manning Drive and take a right turn on South Columbia Street. Continue to the Health Sciences Library. Rosenau Hall is located directly across from the library.)
