Three words: Scope, Community, Impact. Our Scope. At Gillings we have conceptualized Global Health broadly to include both work that happens outside of the US and work in the US focused on global populations, addressing transnational health issues, and sharing lessons learned across geographic boundaries. Our Community. We have an extensive network of faculty, students and alum who conduct global health research and practice and this community is collaborative and supportive of those who want to come to Gillings and build their careers in global health. Our Impact. Global health work at Gillings has impacted policy and programs across the globe in areas such as HIV/AIDS, water and sanitation, sexual and reproductive health, cancer control and prevention, and more.
