The spirit of inquiry and the drive to have a positive impact on the health of the public are alive and well in our faculty, staff and students, as attested to by their many innovative research undertakings.
So who are the world-class experts in cancer, global health, health disparities, obesity and water at our school? What are we publishing about? What grants are being awarded? Who holds patents? Which experts are working together? Find out all this and more by visiting REACH NC, our new web portal that enables users to find experts and assets within North Carolina higher education and research institutions.
Recently, REACH NC has announced the North Carolina statewide Resource Finder, powered by the eagle-i open-source tool from Harvard University. The REACH NC Resource Finder is the product of collaboration with the UNC System, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) and NC TraCS, and expands the ability of researchers to find facilities and resources that will aid them in their endeavors.
Curvita is an application that integrates with the existing information systems on campus to work as a single hub for managing faculty, staff, and departmental data through our intuitive web-based interface. This compiled data can then be marshaled in numerous ways, including the creation of personal documents (CVs, websites) and support documents for sponsored research applications.
Curvita pulls the elements of a user’s profile from their respective sources and provides an intuitive web-based interface through which to manage them. With this data in once place, the possibilities are endless.
