Qaqish, also a member of UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, co-authored “Survey of R.T.s with Doctorates: Barriers to Conducting Research,” which appeared in the May/June 2010 issue of the journal Radiologic Technology. His collaborators included lead author Robert Adams, EdD, assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology in the UNC School of Medicine and director of the radiation therapy and dosimetry programs in the medical school; Jessica A. The award, named for a longtime Radiologic Technology editor, honors the best peer-reviewed article published in the Society’s journals. Qaqish and colleagues accepted their award at the Society’s 2011 annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting in Albuquerque, N.M., in June.
