Develop statistical/computational methods and software to understand biological system and/or disease mechanism using genomic data. Certainly research topics change over time and now I am working on problems related with allele-specific gene expression by RNA-seq, gene expression Quantitative Trait Locus (eQTL) mapping, epigenetic marks, copy number alterations, graphical models to study genome-wide expression or protein data, intra-tumor heterogeneity, deconvolution of cell-type specific signals from a tissue sample, integration of multiple types of genomic data, and predictive model (to predict binary/continuous traits, survival time, drug sensitivity etc.) using genomic data.
