Dr. Erinosho’s research interests are in the role nutrition, physical activity, and obesity in cancer prevention, with special emphasis on children, racial and ethnic minorities, and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. Dr. Erinosho’s research include projects that: examine nutrition practices of New York City child care centers and the dietary intakes of children attending the centers; assess the impact of child care center policies on caregiver behaviors during mealtimes at child care centers in North Carolina; and evaluate the quality of foods and beverages offered to preschool children in North Carolina child care centers using the Healthy Eating Index-2005. Currently, Dr. Erinosho is leading a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Healthy Eating Research New Connections project evaluating the quality of nutrition and physical activity policies in child care centers in North Carolina.
