  • Founder and executive director of Senior PharmAssist, which opened its doors in 1994 (as a result of Ms. Upchurch’s graduate school work in Durham)
  • Senior PharmAssist focuses on helping Durham seniors remain as healthy and independent as possible for as long as possible
  • Oversees a team of paid and volunteer staff who provide and/or improve: medication access, medication management, tailored community referral, participant activation, and Medicare insurance counseling
