Welcome to the North Carolina Institute for Public Health (NCIPH), part of the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Our mission is delivering training, conducting research, and providing technical assistance to transform the practice of public health for all.

In April, for the past 35 years, the state has recognized the importance of public health programs and services, and the effect they have on the quality of life. On April 17, State Health Director Laura Gerald and other state and local public health leaders joined Gillings School faculty, students and staff to celebrate Public Health Month with a reception at the Carolina Club, the university’s alumni center.
