Angelo Mojica, MPH, RD, director of nutrition and food services at UNC Health Care and adjunct instructor of nutrition at Gillings School of Global Public Health, has been named the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) Silver Plate Award winner in the health-care food-service segment. The awards pay tribute to excellence by recognizing the most outstanding and innovative talents in nine segments of food-service operations. Each year, a distinguished jury of trade press editors and previous award winners weighs the merits of hundreds of candidates before selecting executives to be honored with the Silver Plate Award. From among these, one is chosen by secret ballot to receive the industry’s most prestigious recognition, the IFMA Gold Plate. The winner of that award will be announced May 20 in Chicago.
