Bio: Lorenzo Hopper is a PhD Candidate in the Maternal and Child Health Department at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Lorenzo received his bachelor degree from UNC in 2010 and a Master of Public Health from East Carolina University in 2013. Lorenzo has worked as a research assistant for a number of research projects while enrolled at UNC. He has worked with the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research, the Gillings School’s Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute as well as through the MCH department. Lorenzo served as co-president of the Minority Student Caucus in 2015 and works closely with the Deans Council as a student leader within the Gillings community. Lorenzo is a full time Lecturer of Public Health Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
