Institute plans program of alumni education for management and leadership graduates

Public health professionals who have participated in executive education programs at the North Carolina Institute for Public Health will be back in Chapel Hill next month to learn about new educational opportunities for themselves and their organizations.
The Institute’s Office of Executive Education will sponsor a reunion for alumni of the executive programs on Thursday and Friday, May 17 and 18. The event will serve as an introduction to a new “KnowledgeBoosters” website and blog, through which leadership and management alumni can network, share best practices, and stay up-to-date on current “hot topics” in their areas. “It’s all about lifelong learning support,” said Steve Orton, director of executive education at the Institute. “Most people like refreshers and appreciate follow-up that reinforces why they enrolled in a program or course in the first place.”
