Ibrahim appointed as coordinating editor of the Journal of the American Statistical Association
Joseph Ibrahim, PhD, Alumni Distinguished Professor of biostatistics, has been appointed as the next coordinating editor of the Journal of the American Statistical Association (JASA), and also the editor of JASA’s section on Applications & Case Studies. As coordinating editor, Ibrahim with work with the editors of JASA’s other two sections — Theory and Methods and Reviews — to ensure that JASA publishes a balanced mix of articles. Ibrahim previously has served as an associate editor for both the JASA Applications & Case Studies section and its Theory & Methods section, as well as for Biometrics, Bayesian Analysis, and other prominent journals. Established in 1888 and published quarterly in March, June, September, and December, JASA has long been considered the premier journal of statistical science. Articles focus on statistical applications, theory, and methods in economic, social, physical, engineering, and health sciences. Important books contributing to statistical advancement are reviewed in JASA. American Statistical Association (ASA) members receive free online subscriptions to JASA and ASA’s other journals. |
